Long ago, someone who observed our federal government stated that the main objective for those elected to Congress was to get RE-elected. Not necessarily by tending to their constituents’ real needs, but often by listening to the sound of the paper currency being unfolded by lobbyists.

Now, members of Congress are listening to what the bully in the White House is yammering about. All the more reason for those with another loud voice — the entertainment industry — to use their power against him by creating shows and recordings that remind viewers and listeners it should not be this way in In our country.

Incredibly, the most powerful person in the world has made baseless insults and name-calling his defining trait, whining that somehow HE is a victim of the establishment. Reporters who ask a question he doesn’t like are “nasty”. Comedians who mock him by joking about his lies “have no talent” and should be fired. Universities are threatened with the loss of federal grants because they let just anybody practice freedom of speech.

It’s past time to stand up to him, America.

I think as an outside observer that in 1950s when the McCarthy era witch hunt happened it not only killed alot of people careers it nearly killed Hollywood talent. Movies like The Front (despite it starring Woody Allen )and Trumbo arent just made because it makes good Oscars bait its to remember who was silenced . I m glad to see Jane Fonda who lived through so much ups and down restarting something that will have an impact. On my end I think those actors and actress in 1950s red scare who didnt name names and fought back would be super proud of this generation of actors. They didn’t allow Kimmel to be the canary. The said Fudge you and urged us regular folks to cancel subscriptions weddings and trips.
